We’ve been eagerly anticipating the arrival of our Cuckoo Polish, which will be available starting in 2025! We fell in love with this breed in our first year of chicken keeping, with our golden-laced hen, Peanut Butter, being the perfect representation of this quirky, friendly, and unique breed.

One of the most endearing qualities of the Polish chicken is its friendly and sociable nature. Known for their docile temperament, they are an excellent choice for families, small farms, and urban homesteads. Their temperament makes them easy to handle, and they often enjoy interacting with their human caretakers. Curious and intelligent, they display a charming demeanour that is sure to bring joy to your daily routine.

We have chosen to focus on the mesmerizing cuckoo colouring—a striking mix of black and white barring (striped pattern)—and aim to have most of our flock fully bearded. For our 2025 generation, some chicks will be solid black and will be sold by what's available at hatch. Polish chickens typically lay about 180 medium-sized white eggs per year.
